About Me

- My name is Laurie, my husband Dan and I farm near a small town in Northwest Iowa. I have lived in the same half mile my whole life. My nearest neighbors are a half mile away....they are my parents who are in their 70's. They continue to farm there. Their door is always open. Coffee and cookies abundant and much knowledge is shared at the table where generations gather. We raised 4 children here....it was hard work but a good life. Daniel 26, Jenna 23, Kate 20 and David 17. They all live nearby and we gather often. I have been a stay home Mom my whole married life. It is not until now that I realize what a priviledge that has been. Each phase of our life has been a change.... Life has taught me many lessons........the most important being Trust". Sometimes God brings us to our knees and brings us to a place where all that is left is...Trust...."Be still and know that I am God." This blogspot is a new beginning for me. What happens to a stay home Mom when all the kids are gone?? A new journey....a new adventure? What is God's plan for me?
